The big Picture: Our Vision, Our Mission
EKKIOS is the brand name of a registered Religious Association based in Germany, dedicated to supporting believers from a Muslim background who face isolation and persecution due to their faith and cultural background. We seek to facilitate the establishment of a recognized, contextually relevant church structure that offers legitimacy, advocacy, belonging, accountability, and support. We believe that this is the most effective means to grant staying-power to MBBs living in Muslim societies.
Why Ekkios ?
EKKIOS is an innovative name rooted in the historical church and inspired by the Greek language, the language of the original New Testament. The first three letters, "EKK", are derived from "Ekklesia" (Εκκλησιά), meaning "church," symbolizing the essence of the Christian community. The last three letters, "IOS", originate from "Kyrios" (Κύριος), meaning "Lord," representing the Lord’s sovereignty and His spiritual guidance over the Church. Thus, the name EKKIOS embodies the vision and mission of the church, merging its foundational identity with its divine calling.
